HHS reminds residents of free
drive, walk-through flu clinics Oct. 29

Broomfield’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Department is reminding residents to plan to get a flu shot this Sunday during the drive-through flu shot clinic at Broomfield County Commons Park or a walk-in clinic at the Broomfield Community Center.

For the drive-through clinic, residents should enter from Lowell Boulevard at the Paul Derda Recreation Center, 13201 Lowell. Families with children under 12 will be required to go to the Community Center.

The second location is only for families with children under 12. This walk-in flu clinic site will be at the Broomfield Community Center, 280 Lamar St.  Vaccination of children and their families will be provided at this site.

The clinics are scheduled from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., or until all vaccine is administered.

By conducting these clinics, HHS tests Broomfield’s ability to administer mass dosages of vaccines for emergency preparedness.

Please wear a short sleeved shirt or blouse under your coat.  The department will be administering injectable vaccines only – no nasal mist will be available at either site.

For more information, please call 720-887-2220.
