Parents
offered information about teens
Parents of teenagers and
pre-teens are invited to a program sponsored by the
Health Education section of Broomfield Health and
Human Services (HHS).
The program is scheduled for
Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the second
floor conference room at the HHS building, 6 Garden
Center.
Parents will receive
information on a number of topics affecting teen
behavior at home and in school. Linda Johnson, the
Reproductive Health Clinic coordinator, will provide
an overview of the clinic entitled “Not Just for
Teens, Program for Parents.”
Substance Abuse Counselor
Tracie Hagie will provide information on substance
abuse signs and symptoms entitled “What to Look for
and How to Talk to Your Teens About Drugs and
Alcohol.” Parents will also receive information
about tobacco use and teenagers from Tracy Mendoza,
HHS tobacco prevention coordinator.
