Spring Training Campaign
The Broomfield Workforce Center’s Spring Training Campaign
continues, and residents looking for work are invited to take
advantage of this valuable service.
Participants can tap into the Workforce Center to cover the
costs of training in computer skills, professional skills,
accounts receivable/payable, commercial driver license (CDLA or
CDLB) training, and other short term occupational training.
Those eligible include Broomfield residents who are 18 or older,
who are employed, unemployed or underemployed.
Qualifications for financial assistance for this program are
governed by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program.
Eligibility criteria calls for the training to be short term –
six months or less, for jobs in demand, and training that
results in a skill upgrade.
The Broomfield Workforce Center posted 7,000 job openings last
year, and is on track for many job listings this year. Now is
the time to update skills and qualifications to be a more
competitive candidate in the workforce.
If interested contact the Broomfield Workforce Center at
303-464-5855. Upcoming sessions are Tuesdays, April 3 and 10,
at 7 p.m. at the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library. The
Library is located at 3 Community Park Road in Broomfield.
