Broomfield’s
water treatment staff are starting a citywide water monitoring
program, and need help from residents who would be willing to
volunteer their homes for the program.
A water
quality technician will take a sample of water from participants'
homes and test it for parameters like chlorine and E. coli
bacteria. The technician will take the water from an outside
tap, so residents don’t need to be home to help with this
important program.
Each
location will be tested approximately once every three months,
and results are reported to the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment.
For more
information or to volunteer, call the Broomfield Environmental
Laboratory at 303.464.5606.
