efforts earn awards
Broomfield’s
Channel 8 programming will be recognized by NATOA in October.
Broomfield government channel manager Kim Greason has been notified
that Channel 8 will receive one of the top three designations in
three categories, and an honorable mention award.
The three
categories are:
§
Category 17, visual
arts, for stations with operating budgets less than $300,000. The
open to “Family, Fun and Fitness” about Recreation Services, was the
entry. There were 14 entries in this category.
§
Category 27, profile
of a city/county department, for stations with operating budgets
less than $200,000. The show to be recognized is “In the Works,”
about Broomfield’s Public Works Department. There were 31 entries
in this category.
§
Category 60,
excellence in government programming for stations with operating
budgets less than $100,000. There were 8 entries in this category.
The 2005
Annual Report and Midyear Calendar garnered a first place award in
the annual communications contest sponsored by the National
Federation of Press Women. The project was coordinated by Rosann
Doran, public information officer.
