The deadline to register to vote in the November 6 municipal election is Tuesday, Oct. 9.  Registration forms may be obtained at the Central Records Office in the City and County Building, 1 DesCombes Dr., or retrieved from www.broomfield.org/elections.

Completed forms may be dropped off at the City and County Building by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9. Forms mailed to the Elections Division must be postmarked no later than Oct. 9.

Mail-in ballot request forms may be obtained at the City and County Building, the Paul Derda Recreation Center, 13201 Lowell Blvd.; the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library, 3 Community Park Rd.; or downloaded from the city’s election Web site at www.broomfield.org/elections.

Completed request forms may be dropped off at the City and County Building, or mailed or faxed to the Elections Division to arrive by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.

Voters who have already requested a mail-in ballot can expect to receive their ballots in the mail during the week of October 8.

In early September, the Elections Division sent over 23,000 mail-in ballot can expect to receive their ballots in the mail the week of October 8.

By Tuesday, Sept. 25, over a quarter of those voters, 5,889, had completed and returned the forms to the Elections Division.

This year is the first time Colorado voters have the opportunity to request that a mail-in ballot be sent to them for all future elections.  By checking the appropriate box on the mail-in ballot request form, voters can avoid having to submit a request each year.  To date, approximately 98 percent of the Broomfield voters who returned their mail-in ballot requests have taken advantage of this “permanent mail-in status.”
