2008 budget public hearing set for Oct. 16 

Broomfield City Council will hear public comments on the draft 2008 budget on Tuesday, Oct. 16, beginning at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1 DesCombes Dr. Residents may view a copy of the proposed budget prior to the City Council meeting, after October 5, by contacting the City and County Manager’s Office at 303.438.6300. 

Those who wish may submit comments in writing to arrive by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16.  Send comments to: Broomfield City Council to the attention of Greg Demko, Finance Director, at 1 DesCombes Dr.,Broomfield, CO 80020. 

Written comments also may be faxed to Demko’s attention at 720.294.8335, or emailed to gdemko@broomfield.org to arrive by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16. 

The City Council will review the draft budget in study sessions to be held after the Oct. 9 City Council meeting and again on Thursday, Oct. 11, beginning at 6 p.m.  These sessions will take place in the council’s conference room in the City and County Building and are open to the public. 

Adoption of the 2008 budget is scheduled for the Oct. 23 City Council meeting.
