Media Release October 21, 2002 Russ Ragsdale Election Briefs: Mail Absentee Ends on October 29 The last day the Broomfield Clerk and Recorder’s election office may receive requests for a mail absentee ballot for the 2002 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 29. Absentee ballots may be requested and picked up from Wednesday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 1 at the Broomfield Municipal Center. Early voting is also available on those days. Early Voting Early voting for the 2002 General Election began Monday, Oct. 21 will continue through Saturday, Oct. 26 and again Monday, Oct. 28 ending on Friday, Nov. 1. Voting will be in the main lobby of the Broomfield Municipal Center at One DesCombes Drive. The hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Election Judges Needed The Broomfield Clerk and Recorder is in need of approximately 20 more Election Judges for the upcoming election. Compensation is $100 for Election Day service plus $20 for attending a two-hour training session. Training will be Saturday, Nov. 2, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. The hours on Election Day will be from 6:15 a.m. until finished after the polls close at 7 p.m. Election judges verify voter registration records and assist voters with the election process.
