Ward 2 City Council vacancy
applications due July 18
Broomfield City Council has begun accepting applications to fill the vacancy created by the resignation last week of Ward 2 City Councilmember Steve Olstad. Deadline to apply is July 18 at 5 p.m.
Under the Broomfield charter, the City Council has 30 days to appoint someone to fill the remainder of Olstad’s term, which expires in November of 2003.
An application form is available from the City Clerk’s office, or on the city’s Web site at
http://www.ci.broomfield.co.us/council/Application form-City Council vacancy_.pdf.To be eligible, applicants must be registered electors and live in Ward 2.
City Council will schedule interviews of the qualified applicants on July 22, and the appointment will be made at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on July 23.
