Town meeting set for CSU Extension Service

A CSU Extension Service panel will present information about available services at a town meeting on Monday, March 11, at the Lakeshore Room of the Broomfield Senior Center, 280 Lamar St. The meeting, will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:30.

A CSU Extension Agent will be joining Broomfield’s Health and Human Services Department in the near future as part of the new county services available locally.

Panelists will describe program areas, the importance of a community input process, value of Extension Service efforts to the community and individuals, and what residents should know about cooperative extension.

After the panel, in a facilitated discussion led by JoAnn Powell and Nancy Banman of the CSU Extension Service, residents will be able to offer ideas about what the service can provide for Broomfield to successfully meet community needs.

Panel members are Tom Fey, 4-H Youth Development Agent in Adams County; Carl Wilson, Horticulture Agent in Denver; Sheila Gains, Family and Consumer Science Agent in Arapahoe County; and Brian McAleer – 4-H and Family and Consumer Science Agent in Summit County.
