Broomfield City Council appointed its first Human Services Advisory Committee Tuesday night. The new group will convene in its first session on Feb. 28 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Appointed to represent senior services are Vita Marker and Bob Davis; for adolescent services, Jenna Novaral and Liliana Torrico; for youth under 12, Sam and Sara Taylor and Sheila Alimonos.

Appointed to represent the developmentally disabled is Gina Coufal and for mental health and abuse issues is Paula Fisher; representing domestic violence issues is- Roxana Magana, and for early childhood representation is Juliann VonLintel.

Robert Morlan will represent veterans’ services issues, and general citizen members of the new committee are Hal Lunka and Jane Porter-Cox. Representing health care professionals is Kathy James; and legal issues will be represented by Mark Wojcik.

Education is represented by Patricia Gilmour; the faith community by John Howeth; business by Donna LaVigne and Bette Erickson and volunteer organizations by -- Mike Farrell and Pat Springer.

City council representatives to the committee will be Colleen Stevenson, with Kathy Brown as the alternate.
