Broomfield tree recycling opens for season
Broomfield’s annual Christmas tree recycling program begins Friday, Dec.
13, this year. Two additional drop-off sites have been added to the three
established in prior years for the convenience of residents of the city and
county.
The five drop-off locations are:
1. Recycling Center at 225 Commerce St.
2. Broadlands West Park at Sheridan and Meadow Mountain Dr.
3. Lac Amora ball field at 2800 Miramonte Blvd.
4. Bronco Park at 132nd and Westlake Dr.
5. Community Park ball field by the concession stand.
The lots will be open for drop-off from Dec. 13, 2002 through Jan. 20, 2003.
Residents dropping off trees are asked to make sure there are no ornaments,
wire or metal of any kind in the trees.
As in prior years, the trees will be mulched for use in parks and by
residents. Free mulch will be available at Westlake, Community Park and the
Recycling Center after Feb. 1.
