Public Information Meeting

An analysis of Broomfield's water distribution system found that an additional water storage tank is needed to meet the demands on the city's water system. A new tank is proposed to be constructed immediately west of the existing water tank on 136th Avenue. The new tank will be identical to the existing tank. Construction is expected to begin in September for completion in Summer, 2002.

The open land adjacent to the new tank will be developed into a passive park including irrigated grasses, a trail, benches, trees and other landscape features. Both sides of the street will be landscaped similar to the landscaping to the south, along Kohl Street. This work will take place during the summer of 2002.

A public information meeting has been scheduled in an open house format to answer any questions residents may have regarding this project. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend.
