This 32" x 27" color map has all of the latest trail Cover of trails mapinformation along with a panorama of the Front Range with mountain names, information on Broomfield's major open spaces, living with wildlife tips, and trail use and bicycle safety tips--all in one source!

To pick up a complimentary copy of this map, just stop by the Community Assistance Center at the City and County Building, 1 DesCombes Drive. You can also request that one be mailed to you by calling 303.464.5803 or emailing Open Space. Be sure to provide your name and mailing address.

This map is also available for viewing online. It is in a PDF format that allows for zooming in for a closer look at various areas of the map.

The Broomfield Comprehensive Plan has the ambitious goal of preserving 40% of the community as open lands. Open lands refers to both open space and park lands. The 40% goal would preserve 9,617 acres of open lands. At this time, Broomfield has a total of 7,830 acres of open lands. The strategy is to meet the balance of 7.4% through purchase of land, joint acquisitions with other communities, the public land dedication, and other innovative funding efforts. The current breakdown of open lands and trails, as of November 2011, is shown below.
