Broomfield Trail Adventure 2008!
The 2008 Trail Adventure took place on Saturday, June 7!
Part of the National Trails Day celebration, the
Broomfield Trail Adventure moved north this year! Over 350 walkers, joggers,
bikers--young and old--enjoyed a breezy morning exploring Broomfield's open
space!
Recent Planting Day
In honor of Arbor Day and Earth Day, the City and County
of Broomfield and Broomfield Open Space Foundation sponsored a planting day
at Broomfield County Commons on Saturday, April 19.
Approximately 25 volunteers
came out and planted 400 whips and bushes in the area around Le Gault
Reservoir in the open space! The volunteers planted cottonwood whips, willow
whips, and small chokecherry bushes to increase the amount of wildlife
habitat on this open space property.
