The Communications Center has some of the most highly sophisticated technical console and radio equipment available. A
modern Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system is utilized, as well as an 800 MHz radio system. The center was built with 12” raised flooring to allow for the vast multitude of wiring required for equipment. Static-free vinyl flooring was designed for the center of the console area for ease of movement, as well as dissipative carpet in the remaining area. |

A special individualized lighting plan was incorporated. Directly above each console station is track lighting, with individual dimmers at each console. Indirect luminaries are installed around the perimeter of the room. Dispatch consoles were designed with four height-adjustable workstations, rollout computer cavities for easy access, and individual climate controls at each workstation. A restroom and kitchen adjoin the Communications Center. |
