The Crime Lab is set up to aid in the processing of all types of evidence, including fingerprints and conducting chemical reaction drug tests, and obtaining trace evidence. This room is specifically equipped with a 5’ X 9’ stainless steel evidence examination table with adjustable lighting, specially vented fume hoods, an acid storage cabinet, and was designed with special chemical resistant flooring, and epoxy counter tops. |

To aid in highly sophisticated comparison and identification of fingerprints, a Live Scan and comparator have been incorporated. A future AFIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) is also planned.
The Vehicle Processing area is operational with adjustable wall-mounted lights and an automatic vehicle exhaust ventilation system. |
