Employee wellness is important to the Police Department. All employees are offered the use of the Wellness Center. In view of the fact that police officers are required to pass quarterly physical strength and agility tests, keeping physically fit is an important part of their routine.

The Wellness Center is equipped with a variety of free weights and various benches and presses, a cable crossover machine, treadmill, bike, stair step,
television, water fountain, phone, and a great view! Specialized cushioned flooring was incorporated for soundproofing of offices below.
Adjacent shower and locker rooms are provided, as well as individually assigned full-size lockers for storage of personal items, uniforms, etc. |

An employee Break Room was included to facilitate employee short breaks and those who prefer to bring their meals and dine on-site. |

Sleep Room A sound-resilient Sleep Room was built to allow night-shift officers short-stay accommodations when they are scheduled to appear in court the day following their shift. |
