As with workstations on the lower
level, detective workspaces are designed to allow investigators to not
only work individually, but are also grouped to promote communication and
the sharing of information.
Interview rooms are in close proximity for
questioning parties involved in cases.
A “soft” interview room was designed with a casual “family”
environment, for conferencing with children or victims of crime, as well
as a Victim Services Waiting Area.
A major case conference room was
incorporated to handle complex or multi-agency investigations. This
room can also be utilized as the Emergency Operations Center in the case
of a major incident or disaster event.
Two large television monitors are available to track press coverage, the
CNN Weather Channel, etc. A portable dispatch consolette is
available to act as a miniature dispatch console. Extra phone lines
are included to allow for multiple phone usage.
