The Broomfield Police Department Civil Unit is responsible for serving civil papers received from citizens,
attorney's, and the courts. These include, but are not limited to, serving
court documents and civil papers such as civil or criminal summonses,
protection orders, or eviction notices. In addition, the Civil Unit
is responsible for satisfying court judgments by conducting sheriff's
sales and overseeing evictions.
The Civil Unit is also responsible for the apprehension of fugitives that
have outstanding Broomfield warrants. The officers assigned to the
Civil Unit will spend time looking for and locating fugitives that have
active outstanding warrants for their arrest out of the City and County of
Broomfield.
