This is the
current shoulder emblem. It was also
worn by Broomfield Police officers in the 1990s.
The City and County shoulder emblem was
worn by officers between November 15, 2001 and January 2005
when the Department returned to the mountain emblem.

In 1992, the Department
borrowed from an early 1960s design, and drove "black and
whites."
