CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguard Training Updates

This class is for those who feel they possess the skills and knowledge necessary to meet all the requirements set forth by the American Red Cross and need to update their certifications. We tailor the update to meet your needs for the certifications you need to update: adult, child, and infant CPR, community CPR, CPR-PR, First Aid, or AED. There is a short review. There are no skills taught—skill testing only. Participants must successfully complete all skill requirements without assistance as well as pass a written test on the first attempt. American Red Cross Lifeguard Training

Participants learn the duties and responsibilities of becoming a professional lifeguard. Participants are certified in First Aid, CPR-PR/AED, and Lifeguard Training. This class follows the guidelines established by the American Red Cross. To enroll in this class you must be 15 years of age by the last class date. Participants must attend all sessions. There are no exceptions.

During the first class you must pass the following skills in order to continue the rest of the course:

swim 300 yards continuously

swim 20 yards, surface dive to 10 ft, retrieve a 10 lb brick, swim 20 yards with the brick and exit water within 1 min 40 seconds. For ages 15 years and over. Flier

Community CPR, First Aid, and AED Class

This American Red Cross Community First Aid and CPR-PR course teaches individuals, how to respond to injuries and sudden illnesses. Emergency action principles, combining adult, child and infant CPR and other lifesaving techniques, with traditional first aid information and skills are taught. Please bring a sack lunch/dinner to all day classes. For ages 13 years and over.
