About the event ...The Colorado Freedom Invitational (Formerly the Colorado Fireworks Girls Softball Tournament) is a National caliber tournament. It began in 1973 as a local tourney and was transformed into one of the best invitational tournaments in the country.
It started in Arvada and operated as the COLORADO FIRECRACKER for 19 years. In 1990 the tournament changed its name to the "COLORADO FIREWORKS". In 2012, the name will be changed to "Colorado Freedom Invitational"Broomfield has hosted this event since 1988. The 18U and 16U divisions are played in Boulder. The Colorado Freedom Invitational tournament attracts the top teams from around the nation as well as over "300 college coaches" to scout the talent. Many teams use this tournament as a recruiting tool. We are happy to invite your team. There are only a few lucky enough to make it.
