Scholarship Program

A limited number of scholarships are available for residents of   the City and County of Broomfield who may not be able to afford to use the recreational facilities or participate in recreation programs. The first page of your most  recent federal income tax return (1040) form is needed to verify annual family income. *Proof of Residency*

Those who wish to purchase any RESIDENT card or pass are required to show two forms of “proof of residency”. You must present:
A Photo ID with your RESIDENT address
AND one of the following:
Real estate tax notice with your RESIDENT address
Other billing notice that includes your RESIDENT address such as a water bill.
If you work in Broomfield, you are eligible to purchase a Resident Card or Pass. You must present:
A Photo ID
AND
Proof of employment at a RESIDENT business.
If you are not sure whether you live within the Broomfield City and County Limits, please check your tax notice or call the Broomfield Community Center at 303-464-5500.

Resident Recreation ID Card
The Resident Recreation ID card can be used to secure the Discount Daily Drop-In Fee when visiting Paul Derda Recreation Center, Broomfield Community Center or the Bay. This card is valid for two years and can be used as an Equipment Card as well. You are required to show proof of residency to receive this card.

Annual Equipment Card
An Annual Equipment Card is available for non-residents who do not wish to purchase a pass or punch card. A current Equipment Card must be presented to the Front Desk Attendant when checking out recreation equipment. No other form of ID is accepted. An Equipment Card may be purchased at either Recreation Center during regular business hours. This card is valid for one year from the date of issue.

Resident Card and Pass Renewals
Each time you renew your Resident ID card, Resident Punch Card or Resident Annual Pass you will be asked to show current proof of residency.

Replacement Card
Replacement Equipment Cards, Punch Cards, and Passes cost $5.00.

Drop-In Facility Use and Fitness Drop-In Fees
The drop-in fee is for building entry, building use and fitness classes and applies to anyone entering the building for activities other than programs. This fee includes the use of the weight room, gymnasium, swimming pool, spa, and drop-in fitness classes (except Yoga and Pilates).

Daily Drop-In Users
Anyone who wishes to pay the “Discount Daily Drop-In Fee” is required to show proof of residency or present their current Resident Recreation ID Card.

Locker Usage
Patrons are required to bring their own lock to secure clothing and valuables. Locks and property must be removed each night. You can purchase a lock for this use at the Front Desk. We check out locks at the Paul Derda Recreation Center. The City & County of Broomfield is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

Yoga /Pilates 10-punch Pass
Purchase a yoga /Pilates 10-punch pass for your convenience and attend any of our classes. Please pick up a number at the front desk anytime up to 60 minutes prior to the class start time.

20 Punch Facility Pass
For convenience we offer a 20 Punch Facility Pass to be used for facility drop-in activities. This pass is priced at a discounted daily rate and can only be purchased in 20-punch increments. It CANNOT be used for Child Sitting, Yoga or Pilates. BCC and PDRC open hours are subject to change.

Annual Pass (BCC Only)
If you chose the monthly payment plan to pay for your annual pass, you must pay with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express only. Payments are processed on the 15 of each month. BCC and PDRC open hours are subject to change. There is a $25 administration fee for cancelled Annual Passes.

Family Annual Pass
Customized family annual passes are available. You may purchase a family annual pass just for BCC or a PDRC family annual pass which is good at both recreation centers. Pass fees are based on the number of family members both adult (18 years and over) and children (17 years and younger). A family includes a parent or guardian and all children claimed as dependents on your income tax and living at the same residence. All adults on the pass must present a picture ID with the same residence listed at the time the ID is made. An annual child sitting pass can be added to your family pass. The annual child sitting pass MUST be purchased at the time you purchase the family pass and must run for the duration of the pass. Please contact BCC or PDRC for more information. Please note the open hours for BCC and PDRC are subject to change. There is a $25 administration fee for cancelled annual passes. Any change requests to a family annual pass is processed by pro-rating and canceling the current pass and starting a new pass with the requested changes.
