Single Session Fitness Classes Drop in to the fitness classes as long as they are running. It is a fun way to meet others, check out the class and stay in shape. There is no drop-in fee for Annual Pass holders or SilverSneakers® members. For ages 60and over

$2.75/$3.75 drop-in rate for Fitness Classes or Dancing.

 

Healthy Hearts Walking Program
Walk Across America
Join us at the Paul Derda Recreation Center for the Healthy Hearts Walking Program as we walk across America. No registration required. For SilverSneakers members or Annual Pass holders, there is no cost and all other participants pay only $1 per visit. We will warm up, stretch and walk on the track. Senior Fitness Assessment This is an opportunity to have an overall “snapshot” of your fitness status. You participate in five different exercises to test muscular strength, flexibility, body composition, balance and power. When completed, you will have a better understanding of your physical stamina and where to improve. Please wear “workout” clothes and bring water. Register at the PDRC front desk.

Personal Fitness Trainer Get one on one training from one of our personal trainers. They'll help you set and meet your fitness goals.

 

Gentle Yoga No matter what your physical condition, age, abilities, or disabilities, doing yoga is the next level of self-care. This class lets one enjoy a balance between mind, body and spirit, which is achieved by slow stretching and strengthening poses, focus and concentration, breathing and relaxation exercises. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a blanket. It’s best to come with an empty stomach.


Weight Training For Seniors
Instruction is given on weight machines and cardio equipment. You will learn the appropriate settings and technique for different exercises by a certified personal trainer. For Ages 50 and over.

 

Massage Therapy  Dave McHattie is a certified massage therapist from the Massage Therapy Institute. Dave has 12 years experience. Specialities: Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Prenatal, Swedish, Postural Integration, Myofasicial Release and Reflexology.

 

Tai Chi  Taijiquan (Tai Chi) is a Chinese exercise and martial art for the body, mind and spirit. Practiced in a slow, relaxed manner that cultivates internal energy, mental awareness, a sense of calm and improves balance, coordination, circulation and muscle tone. New and continuing students are welcome to join this class. The class is on a monthly schedule. You can join Tai Chi at the beginning of each month.
