Safety Awareness Class
The Broomfield Police Department and the Broomfield Therapeutic Recreation
Program will be offering a Safety Awareness Class. This class is geared for
individuals with developmental disabilities. We head to the police department,
and define “emergency” and discuss what to do in an emergency. Participants will
get an opportunity to go through a mock 9-1-1 phone conversation with an
employee from Communications.
Age: 15 years and over.

Weekend Camping Trip
Head to the mountains and spend a weekend at Cheley camp. Spend time meeting new
friends, hiking, playing sports, and enjoying arts & crafts. All meals are
included. You must be independent. The trip leaves from Broomfield on Friday
afternoon and returns on Sunday morning. You need permission to register for
this trip; if you would like to register please call Rachel Robbins at
303.460.6924.

Game Night at the Derd! (with dinner)
Looking for a great way to socialize with your friends and meet new ones? Join
us at the Paul Derda Recreation Center as we play a variety of games including
Wii, charades, “wacky Olympic games”, and board games. We will pick a theme for
each night. Don’t miss out on the fun! Fee includes dinner. This class is
designed for individuals with disabilities.

Dodgeball & Dogs!
Join us as we head to Boulder to play dodgeball and enjoy a hot dog dinner! This
activity is a cooperative program with surrounding agencies, don’t miss out! No
