Night of the Stars Youth Talent Show Audition
So you think you got what it takes to wow a crowd? If so, audition for the 7th annual Night of the Stars Talent Competition for kids. There will be a dress rehearsal on March 8 from 6-8 p.m. and the local show on March 12 at 6 p.m. at The Erie Community Center (450 Powers St., Erie, CO). First place winners will move on to compete at the finale on May 1 at The Northglenn Community Center. For ages: Kindergarten-12th grade

Teen Adventure Series This monthly series is brought to you through a cooperative effort by the cities  of Broomfield, Northglenn, Thornton, Commerce City, and Hyland Hills. All trips are open to youth and are supervised by trained staff. Before each trip participants will meet at the Paul Derda Recreation Center and be transported to meet with the rest of the cities. Please be on time for departure! For ages 11–17 years.

Camping
Camp at Genesee camp grounds with guides from Denver Parks and Recreation. We will complete a ropes course, go hiking, at night there are games, and bonfires. There is a mandatory parent meeting at the Northglenn Recreation Center on July 27th from 6-7 p.m. Registration includes the trip and transportation, the ropes course, meals, a tent, and a mattress pad. Alive at 25 This course, offered to drivers ages 15 - 24 years, is designed to be an early intervention program to help prevent traffic violations, collisions, and/ or fatalities. The focus is to help young drivers adopt safer driving practices, take responsibility for their behavior in various driving situations, and to be aware of many of the typical driving hazards. This class is approved for obtaining a permit at 15 ½. Payable by CHECK or money order only to Lisa Haugan; cash only on the day of the class. Fee: $50 for court ordered. $35 for non court ordered.

Babysitting Training Course for Ages 11 years and over. Become a certified Red Cross babysitter through Broomfield Recreation Services.  This course, for beginning babysitters, teaches you the fundamentals of what it takes to become the best babysitter possible.  It does not certify a participant in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR courses.
