Volunteers are the heart of the Senior Center. It is through their dedication and hard work that helps Broomfield Senior Center be as fantastic as it is!
On January 10th, a Broomfield Senior Center celebrated a Sally Huffman's award
from Denver News Channel 7 with a "7 Everyday Hero Award". To

Sally has been volunteering with the Broomfield Senior Center since 1995. She is a board member of Senior Resources of Broomfield, Inc. and works diligently with businesses in the community to gather donations for special events to benefit Senior programs. She is a crucial member in planning, organizing and decorating for many special events that include: Basket Auction, New Year's Gala, Broomfield Days, Golf Tournament and other special lunches at the Lakeshore Cafe.
Sally has helped to create and maintain the Senior Art Cart, which is a consignment operation selling local artists products and giving 40% of sales to support the Meals On Wheels program. Sally also helps add artistic flare to the Senior Center lobby by decorating the display case with seasonal items and event promotion material.
Sally has lived in Broomfield for 30 years and volunteers in her church as well as at FISH. She recently led a holiday food campaign at the Senior Center and collected over 200 pounds of food items for distribution.

Roger Ruff and Randy Coleman have been substitute drivers for more than two years. Both men are relied upon heavily when our valued regular route Meals On Wheels drivers are unable to drive a route. Often Roger and Randy will be called on in a moments notice to drive a route. They are very enthusiastic to help and deliver meals to the seniors in Broomfield. Thank you for your continued, reliable service to the seniors of Broomfield and for helping the staff so much, Roger and Randy!
