Wellness Clinics by Visiting
Nurses Association
Services are
provided by registered nurses with special training in senior health
assessment. Services include health history and assessment, blood
pressure checks, toenail care, finger nail care, health education on
nutrition and more. Please call 303-464-5526 for an appointment.
Contributions from clients help ensure that this service can be provided
to as many people as possible.
Blood Pressure Checks
North Metro Fire Rescue Authority personnel
are on hand to check blood pressures the 1st Wednesday of each month about
11;30 a.m. This is held at the Broomfield Community Center.
There is no charge
for this service.
Foot Care
Dr. Scott Taylor, Podiatrist, offers overall foot care such as cutting and
filing of toenails, callus trimming and addresses minor foot problems.
He is at the Broomfield Community Center on the 2nd Wednesday
& Thursday of each month from 12:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. There is a $20.00 fee payable
directly to Dr. Taylor and a $6.00 fee payable to Broomfield Community
Center.
Flu Shots
People 65 and older are at risk for developing serious complications from
influenza, therefore it is particularly important for older adults, as
well as those who work with the elderly to get immunized. When Flu
shot season arrives, an announcement will be made for when the Senior
Center will be having this service.
Loan Closet
Various assistive
devices are available for loan to residents recuperating at home who have
a short-term equipment need. We will accept donations of your gently
used equipment as well. No toilet seats or other unsanitary
products.

Financial Assistance
If financial status is
preventing you from utilizing the Broomfield Community Center or any of
Broomfield Senior Service offerings, we encourage you to apply for the
"Reduced Fee Program". This program is available to qualifying
Broomfield Seniors for all services such as Easy Ride Transportation,
Meals on Wheels, Lakeshore Cafe and Recreation activities. Please
