BROOMFIELD EASY RIDE
303-464-5534

What is Easy Ride?
Easy Ride, operated by the City and County of Broomfield, is a transportation service for seniors and for disabled residents.  It provides professionally coordinated, door-to-door, wheelchair-accessible, driver-assisted service to meet daily transportation needs.

How do I know if I am eligible to use Easy Ride?
You must be at least 60 years old or a disabled resident of the City and County of Broomfield.  A resident is anyone who pays their property taxes or water service to Broomfield.  You must be able to travel alone and without supervision.

Where can I go on Easy Ride?
We will come to your home to pick you up for things such as doctor's appointments, grocery trips, department stores, personal errands, exercise classes and of course, to come have lunch at Lakeshore Cafe!  Easy Ride also travels to some medical facilities beyond the greater Broomfield area, please call 303-464-5534 #3 for detailed information.

How do I get a Ride?
There is a very simple process to follow:
Call 303-464-5534 - you will reach an automated system that works like this:
Press 1 to schedule a ride
Press 2 if you are ready to return home
Press 3 if you want general information about Easy Ride
Press 4 if you need to speak to the Operator

You will be called between 7:15 and 7:45 am the day of your trip with an approximate pick up time.  You must be ready 10 minutes prior to your pick up time.

Important Tips to Remember:

  • There are no emergency or same day requests

  • Schedule your ride at least one day in advance (must be scheduled by 2pm preceding day)

  • There is a minimum 3-Business Day notice on all out of Broomfield medical trips

  • If you need to cancel, do so at least 1 hour prior to your pick up time

  • Be ready at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time

  • Be prepared to pay a donation

  • Do not give requests to the driver

Who drives the Easy Ride buses?
Easy Ride's drivers are professional drivers, employed by the City and County of Broomfield, who meet strict guidelines set up by the State of Colorado for transportation providers like Easy Ride.  They complete many hours of driver training to receive their commercial driver's license.  Drivers are also trained in first aid and CPR before we allow them to transport you!  Also, when our drivers are hired, a complete background check is done and references are contacted.  Most importantly, Easy Ride selects drivers who are committed to serving others.

We know the transition from driving your own car to relying on some other form of transportation is not an easy one and can be frightening and confusing.  That is why we offer a transportation class.  "Freedom to Ride" is a class designed to ease your fear and anxiety about using public transportation.  This is a fun class, and you're taken out on actual field trips.  For more information about this class, please call Easy Ride at 303-464-5534 and press 3 when prompted.
