Would
you like to be active in your community - helping your community uphold
its reputation as a beautiful and special place to live? The Keep
Broomfield Neat Adopt-A-Street / Park / Open Space Litter Control Program
is aimed at litter control, an issue that each of us can support.
Under this program, groups agree to clean up litter
along a street segment, in a park, or in a section or all of an open space
area. Adopters can include individuals, civic organizations, garden clubs,
school groups, scouts, employee associations, or church groups. Park and
open space areas were added to the program to make litter pick-up
accessible and convenient for younger volunteer groups, as well as for
those seniors who wish to adopt a less traveled area.
Litter control is always a monumental task for a city,
but for the adopting group, litter control is an inexpensive project that
gives your group the satisfaction of making a contribution to our
community. Every consideration will be given for the group's choice of
preferred areas.
Interested groups may begin the sign up process by contacting the Public Works Field Operations Division. You will be provided with
the areas available for adoption, necessary forms, schedules and safety
information. Just call (303) 438-6334 and request a packet. After
your area is assigned, a sign will be posted on the street or in the area
that you adopted in recognition of your special group or organization.
