Valves

Isolation Valves are used in the water distribution system to isolate the system for emergency repairs to the water system, construction, and separations between pressure zones. Maintenance of valves is performed on an every-other-year rotation. Maintenance includes cleaning valve boxes, exercising valves, and general inspection.

Pressure-Regulating Valves  There are 80 pressure-regulating valves installed throughout the city to lower system pressures to a more suitable operating pressure.
