Biosolids are the biological residual, or treated sludge, from the wastewater treatment process generated at the Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The biosolids undergo treatment that includes anaerobic digestion followed by composting before land application on city-owned property. The Biosolids Coordinator was responsible for overseeing the handling and reuse of over 16.7 million gallons of treated sludge (biosolids) during 2012.
