Secure and Verifiable Identification

The named owner or applicant must present their Secure and Verifiable Identification to the Motor Vehicle Technician.  If the named owner has asked someone else to complete the transaction on their behalf, a DR2175 Non-Secured Power of Attorney Form must be completed and notarized.  The person completing the transaction on the owner/applicant's behalf must also present their secure and verifiable identification.

Secure and Verifiable Identification is required to obtain:
  • Duplicate Titles (purchased after 7/1/06)
  • New Handicap Placards
  • New Registrations
  • New Temporary Registration Permits
  • New Titles
