Ballot Trax
Why Use Ballot Trax?
All active registered voters in Colorado will receive a ballot in the mail for every election. You can return your ballot by mail or deliver it to one of the convenient ballot drop-off locations. No matter how you return your ballot, Ballot Trax will let you know when it has been safely received for counting!
How does Ballot Trax know where my ballot envelope is?
We first notify you when your ballot envelope has been printed and mailed. Then, your ballot envelope is printed with unique bar codes, which are scanned when your ballot packet is received back by our Elections Division. These intelligent bar codes allow us to securely track your ballot each step of the way. Your ballot itself is not coded, so your vote remains anonymous.
How and when will Ballot Trax notify me?
You can use Ballot Trax to view your ballot status online in any election, and/or sign up to receive free messages by text, email, or phone. You will receive automated messages when your ballot is mailed to you, received by the Postal Service, and received by the City and County of Broomfield Elections Division. You also would receive a message if your ballot is returned as undeliverable by the United States Postal Service. If you prefer not to receive a message, you can always use Ballot Trax to check the status of your ballot online.
Why can’t Ballot Trax find my information?
City and County of Broomfield Ballot Trax is not available to voters in other counties. If you have requested that your voter registration be confidential, you will not be able to use Ballot Trax. This system is not available to confidential voters for your protection.
Is there a cost?
Ballot Trax is free for the City and County of Broomfield voters! There’s no cost for your account or messages. However, your phone carrier’s standard text message or voice rates may apply.
