Anthem Reuse Mainlines at Preble Creek Pkwy and Indian Peaks Pkwy
News & Updates...............
Preble Creek Parkway Closure April 12
On Monday, April 12th, the contractor will be removing the temporary asphalt patches and installing permanent, full-depth patches on Preble Creek (see map below), which will require one final full closure of the westbound lane between Pikes Peak Drive and Lowell Boulevard. Please use alternate routes.
Indian Peaks Parkway Closure Extended to April 16
Due to weather and to complete asphalt work, Indian Peaks will continue to be closed through the week of April 16 (weather depending).
The Contractor has completed the reuse water line installation at Preble Creek Parkway and began work at Indian Peaks Parkway. The first of two detours has been placed and the reuse water main installation has begun from west to east. Anticipated completion of the pipe installation is April/May 2021. Landscape repairs to the medians at Preble Creek will begin in April 2021.
The dead ends in the distribution system create problems such as dirty water, one-way feeds, low pressure and low flows, and the need for frequent system flushing. Looping the reuse system eliminates dead ends and provides the necessary flow and pressure required for irrigation during high demand periods.
Muller Engineering Company, Inc. has completed the project design.
An invitation to bid was issued to Broomfield’s 2018 Utility Prequalification Shortlist, which is valid for four years, on August 17, 2020. Six bids were received by the September 10, 2020 deadline.
