Renewal

RENEWAL
House Bill 14-1166, that went into effect March 14, 2014, created changes to how you renew your concealed handgun permit. You must now submit a concealed handgun renewal permit application to the county sheriff’s office where you reside, own property, or own a business.

If you currently have a concealed handgun permit with City and County of Broomfield and now live in another county (and do not own property or a business in Broomfield), you must renew your permit with the county you live in.

If you live in the City and County of Broomfield and have a permit from another county (and do not own property or a business in another county), you need to apply for a renewal through the City and County of Broomfield.

Colorado concealed handgun permits may be renewed within 120 days prior to the expiration of the permit. It is recommended you allow at least 60 to 90 days for the renewal process. Permits that are expired may be renewed within six months of the expiration date. There is an additional $15 fee to renew expired permits. No permit will be renewed six months or more after the expiration date.

You may obtain a renewal application by d
ownloading and printing out the Application and Affidavit of Qualification.

Renewal Applications are accepted on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and on Friday afternoons from noon - 4 p.m. This does not include holidays. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.

The Broomfield Police Department is located at 7 DesCombes Drive, Broomfield, CO.
