Testing information includes both PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and antigen tests processed by the state CDPHE laboratory and private laboratories. Both negative and positive test results are reported in order to calculate the positivity rate.

In order to meet the Protect Our Neighbor metrics, a community must be conducting 15 tests per day per 10,000 people (or 1.5 tests per 1,000 people). For Broomfield this means, 105 tests per day in Broomfield. Additionally, the positivity rate must be below 5%.

Note that because Broomfield offers free COVID-19 testing to the community on Tuesdays, case counts and positivity rates may be inflated 1 to 2 days during the week.
