The asphalt mill and overlay work on W. 136th Ave from Tejon Street to the west entrance of Legacy HS, which was postponed in July 2021 due to a regional asphalt supply shortage, was completed in early June 2022. All work for this project is now substantially complete. This is the last update for this project.
The project will extend the westbound right turn lane on West 136th Avenue, from Zuni into the Legacy High School parking lot on the west side of the school. This project will alleviate traffic congestion at the school during peak volume hours. The City and County of Broomfield has received Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant for this project.
