As part of the incentives to build units rather than make a cash-in-lieu payment, the ordinance allows for fee waivers and other negotiated items to be provided by the city in Section 17-76-050 of Ordinance 2100 - Fee Reduction for Affordable and Attainable Housing (A). The developer may request waiving of, or reduction of specific building permit fees and use taxes related to the Affordable and/or Attainable Housing as part of a developer’s proposal to meet their affordable and/or attainable housing obligation. This request is subject to approval from the City Council.
