MY PERMIT WAS LOST/DESTROYED, WHAT DO I DO?
If your permit was lost or stolen you need to fill out the following form and return it (along with a check for $15 made payable to the Broomfield Police Department) to the Broomfield Police Department, Attention J.R. Duncan or Mike Gabel, 11600 Ridge Parkway, Broomfield, CO 80021. Include a copy of your driver's license or state I.D. to show proof of identification. Once received, arrangements will be made to issue you a new permit card. You may also make cash or credit card payments in person at the Broomfield Police Records window at 7 DesCombes Drive, Broomfield, CO 80020.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BROOMFIELD CONCEALED HANDGUN PERMIT IF I MOVE WITHIN COLORADO?
If you move to a new address in Colorado, you need to fill out the following form. Remember to check the address change box, and email to J.R. Duncan or Mike Gabel within 30 days of an address change. If you move within the state of Colorado, the permit remains valid.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I MOVE OUT-OF-STATE?
If you move out of state, the permit becomes invalid and must be returned to the Broomfield Police Department.
IF I MOVE TO COLORADO, IS MY OUT-OF-STATE CONCEALED HANDGUN PERMIT VALID?
Once you become a legal resident of Colorado, you have a 90-day grace period with your out-of-state permit as long as Colorado has reciprocity with that state. You can go to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation Reciprocity site to find this information.
