At the City and County of Broomfield, environmental sustainability is a focal point of long-term social, economic, and environmental health. Celebrate Earth Day by participating in an entire week’s worth of fun activities that promote sustainability, creativity, and help keep the community and planet clean!
🎨 Kick-off the week by stopping by the Broomfield Library on April 17, at 9 a.m. and pick up art supplies to create Earth Day-themed art pieces at home (while supplies last). Submit a photo of your completed artwork to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 24 to be featured on Broomfield’s social media!
📲 Participate in a week-long community scavenger hunt hosted by the local sustainability-focused non-profit Sustainable Broomfield from April 17-25. Throughout the week, you will be prompted to complete various challenges while exploring different areas of Broomfield all from an app on your phone! Learn how to live more sustainably, get some fresh air, and have fun in your community! Visit https://bit.ly/31H582m for more information and sign-up details.
♻️ Keep Broomfield Open Space beautiful by participating in the Earth Day Trails Clean-Up on April 22! Take your family on a hike to enjoy the outdoors and collect trash while you're at it! Use the hashtag #WeAreBroomfield to show how much waste you can collect! Please make sure you dispose of the trash at your residence and not on the trails.
