[ARCHIVED] City and County of Broomfield announces next City and County Clerk

Crystal Clemens, blonde woman

Following a lengthy selection process, the City and County of Broomfield (CCOB) has named Crystal Clemens as its top choice to be the next City and County Clerk. Clemens is not a new face at CCOB, having joined Broomfield in June 2021 in the role of Deputy City Clerk.

"We are pleased to have had such a competitive pool of qualified candidates. Mrs. Clemens brings many years of experience, a proven track record of success, and has performed admirably during her tenure with Broomfield over the last year. She joins an extremely strong DMV, Elections, and Clerk team. We are excited for the future under Mrs. Clemens’ leadership," said City and County Manager, Jennifer Hoffman.

Since joining CCOB, Clemens has been a tremendous asset working alongside a strong management team within the Clerk and Recorder department while also being an active, collaborative partner throughout the organization, working on projects like the update of the records retention policy and George DiCiero City and County Building basement cleanout.

Crystal Clemens said "It has been a great pleasure working for the City and County of Broomfield over the last year with such professional, dedicated and supportive leadership and teams. I am very excited about this opportunity to continue serving Broomfield as the City and County Clerk."

Per Section 8.6 of the Broomfield Charter, the selection will become official upon Council’s vote September 13. After the vote, Clemens can officially start Sept. 14, 2022.
