Broomfield City Council has declared November as Lung Cancer Awareness Month in Broomfield, as lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Colorado.
Sadly, there were 140 new lung cancer cases and 79 deaths in Broomfield due to lung cancer between 2015 and 2019. The leading cause of lung cancer is smoking, and the second leading cause of lung cancer is radon.
