Broomfield's first ever Board of Health members were appointed by City Council on Mar. 7.
The members of the Board of Health are as follows:
5 Year Terms:
Savita Ginde, MD, MPH: Savita has over 20 years of healthcare experience working in Family Medicine and Reproductive Health. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Medical Officer at Boulder Valley Women's Health Center.
Zachary (Zack) Lustgarten, MS, REHS: Zack has 17 years of experience working in Environmental Health Science and is currently an Environmental Health Specialist for Boulder County Public Health.
Erin Seedorf, DrPH, MPH: Erin is an Assistant Professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver in the Department of Health Professions and has over twenty years of experience working in public health including serving as a member of Broomfield's Communities That Care Coalition (CTC).
3 Year Terms:
Eugenia (Gena) Valdez, MSN, BSN, RN: Gena has 14 years experience working as a nurse in hospital settings, Clinica Family Health Services, and currently in Adams 12 School District.
Elizabeth McCutchon, EdD, MSN, NNP-BC, PMHNP-BC: Elizabeth has 30 years of healthcare experience and is currently a Nurse Practitioner at Mental Health Partners of Colorado and in the NICU at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Broomfield Public Health and Environment warmly welcomes these members to the Board of Health. The Board of Health is responsible for approving the five year Public Health Improvement Plan, developing and promoting the public policies needed to secure the conditions for a healthy community, and holding hearings, issuing orders and adopting rules for public or environmental health issues.
