Broomfield City Council has declared November as Lung Cancer Awareness Month in Broomfield, as lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Colorado.
Sadly, there were 148 new lung cancer cases and 84 deaths in Broomfield due to lung cancer between 2016 and 2020. The leading cause of lung cancer is smoking, and the second leading cause of lung cancer is radon.
