Working in partnership with the community, Federal and State housing funding and regulatory agencies, developers, and neighboring communities, the Broomfield Housing Division provides a variety of housing programs to meet the diverse and changing needs of Broomfield residents to enhance their quality of life.

***NEW - Property Tax Refund Program: APPLY starting Feb. 1, 2023***


Have your property taxes on up this year? Broomfield homeowners may qualify for the new Property Tax Refund Program! This program will be available for Broomfield residents who are homeowners, have lived at their home for at least two years, are at or below 60% AMI (average median income) and belong to one or more of the categories below:

  • Seniors 65+,
  • Veterans with at least 80% documented disability
  • Residents with 100% documented disability

(surviving spouses can also apply)

The table below shows the maximum amount of annual income that can be earned by a given family size in order to qualify for this program:

The refund amount will be the difference between last year's property taxes and this year's property taxes. The maximum refund amount is $1,000.

This Broomfield Property Tax Refund Program is not the same as the Senior Property Tax Exemption Program. Applying for this program does not automatically include you in the Senior Property Tax Exemption Program. Visit the Property Tax Exemption and Deferrals page for more information.

Broomfield Home Rehabilitation/Mobile Home Repair Program/Urgent Repair Program

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, the Broomfield Home Rehabilitation, Mobile Home Repair program, and Urgent Repair Programs are now managed by Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. These programs are for low-income Broomfield homeowners to assist with repairs to their homes.

  •  For inquiries about emergency home repair assistance and the application process, contact the CO Housing Connects HOTLINE at 1-844-926-6632.
  • For best efficiency, when connecting, be sure to mention that you are a Broomfield resident.

Section 8 Housing

  • Broomfield's Section 8 Waitlist - CURRENTLY CLOSED - Applications are not being accepted - updated 01.31.23
  • Section 8 may only be applied for through municipalities with an open waitlist. For more information on Section 8, please contact Rental Assistance.
