Support Groups & Wellness Clinics

Senior Services offers a range of support groups and wellness clinics to help older adults remain healthy, connected, and supported. From safe, welcoming spaces to share experiences to preventive care services, such as hearing and foot care clinics, these programs promote overall well-being and foster community. Support Groups

All support groups are open to the public at no cost. Please read the description for each group for dates, times, and attendance information. Unless stated otherwise, all groups are held at the Broomfield Community Center, located at 280 Spader Way, Broomfield, CO 80020. 

Dementia Caregiver (21+)

This group is for family, friends, and caregivers of someone with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. Facilitated by an Alzheimer's Association staff member, this is a safe place to share concerns, receive support, and learn about coping techniques and tips. No registration is required. When: 3rd Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m.

Grief (21+)

This group offers support to those who have experienced the death of a family member, friend, or someone important to them. This is a safe place to find and offer support to others experiencing the many aspects of grief. Before attending, please call 720-325-2987 or email griefsupport@vnacolorado.org
When: 2nd & 4th Monday from 10:30 a.m. - noon

Low Vision Peer Support (21+)

This is a peer support group for those who have low vision, have a loved one with low vision, or those with combined vision and hearing loss. This group is facilitated by Darcy McLean, from the Center for People with Disabilities (CPWD) Beyond Vision Program. For more information, call 720-340-2088.
When: 2nd Tuesday from 1 - 2:30 p.m. 

Parkinson’s (21+)

This group is for those with Parkinson's Disease, their care partners, and anyone interested. Members offer mutual support and share ideas. Guest speakers are often brought in to present helpful information. No registration required.
When: 1st Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. - noon 
Note: This support group does NOT meet June-August in 2026

Parkinson’s Carepartners (21+)

This group is for care partners and families of those with Parkinson's Disease. Members share information and ideas, and offer each other support.
When: 1st Friday from 10 a.m. - noon 

OLOC: Old Lesbians Organizing for Change (55+)

OLOC provides lesbians (age 55+) the chance to meet like-minded women in the common struggle to confront ageism, share mutual interests, and experience the joy and warmth of playing and working together. The meetings take place over lunch. For more information, email olocincolorado@comcast.net.
When: 2nd Saturday from noon - 3 p.m. 

Wellness Clinics

Hearing Clinic (21+)

This clinic is free and provided by Family Hearing at the BCC. Services include hearing screenings, device maintenance, and repairs. For additional information on services provided and to schedule an appointment, call Family Hearing at 303-465-4327.
When: 4th Tuesday from 1 - 2:30 p.m.

Note: Hearing clinics will be adjusting to a quarterly schedule as of June 2026

Foot Clinic (55+)

Registered nurses from the Colorado Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) provide foot exams, circulation checks, and assessments for neuropathy and chronic conditions. The standard cost is $55; however, individuals with Kaiser may qualify for this service at no cost. Appointments must be scheduled directly through the VNA at 720-392-6761.
When: 3rd Tuesday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
