Memorial Tree Program

Trees are the best monuments that a man can erect to his own memory.  hey speak his praises without flattery, and they are blessings to children yet unborn."   -  Lord Orrery, 1749

The City and County of Broomfield's Forestry department has a living memorial tree program to commemorate a loved one's life, birthday, or anniversary to provide a lasting tribute that will last for generations.

  • A memorial tree will be planted in a Broomfield park of your choice by Forestry staff
  • Participants will select species of tree with the assistance of the City Forester. There are many varieties of trees to pick from that thrive in Colorado.
  • Cost will vary depending on what tree was selected to plant.
  • Other amenities, such as benches, may be added at an additional cost.
