City & County Attorney

The City and County Attorney's Office serves as general counsel to the City and County of Broomfield, providing legal advice to the Mayor, City Council, and all Broomfield departments, boards and commissions, and agencies. Our attorneys or approved outside counsel represent Broomfield in legal matters; handle claims and suits initiated on behalf of the City and County and any of its departments and agencies; prosecute violations of City ordinances; and provide counsel to elected officials and Broomfield employees on legal matters that arise in the operations of the City and County.

Our office also provides advice and representation to the Broomfield Human Services Department in dependency and neglect cases, state expungement and administrative review hearings, adult service matters and in other civil matters related to the department.
